Audrey Kotschwar, 80 - July 17, 2011
Audrey Maxine Kotschwar, 80, of Farnam passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at her home.
Services will be conducted at the Farnam United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Neil Kloppenborg officiating. Interment will take place at the Farnam Cemetery.
A visitation will be at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel at Gothenburg on Wednesday (today) from 1-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Kotschwar was born on Nov. 13, 1930, at Moorefield, daughter of Fred R. and Pearl Faith Mosley Cross.
She resided her entire life in the Moorefield, Ingham and Farnam areas. Three sons were born to her.
Kotschwar had worked at raising cats and dogs for numerous years for A/K Kennels.
She was a very devoted mother and grandmother, according to family members, and loved keeping up on all their lives and attending all the events she could, especially their sporting events.
Kotschwar was preceded in death by: her father and mother, Fred R. Cross and Pearl Faith Cross; a sister, Delores Bunstock; brothers—Gordon Cross, Roland Cross and Theron Cross.
Survivors include: three sons—Dan (Cheryl) Kotschwar of Farnam, Gary (Jody) Kotschwar of Moorefield, and Rick (Gwen) Kotschwar of Farnam; five granddaughters—Tamara (Tim) Miles of Monument, CO, Amber (Sam) Nelson of Lincoln, Cressy Kotschwar of Kansas City, MO, Gretchin (John) Heckenlively of Gretna and Niccole Kotschwar of Martinez, CA; four grandsons—Kelly (Kristen) Kotschwar of Moorefield, Derek (Amanda) Kotschwar of Lincoln, Zachary (Kate) Kotschwar of Pearl City, HI, and Christopher (Sara) Kotschwar of Colorado Springs, CO; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Memorials are suggested to the Farnam Senior Center, 214 Main St. Farnam, NE 69029.
