Rebekah Snyder, 31 - December 02, 2009


Rebekah Ann Snyder, 31, of Gothenburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services were held on Sunday, Nov. 29, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg with Pastor Lee Rochholz officiating. Burial took place at the Peckham Cemetery.
Snyder was born Oct. 22, 1978, to Ralph and Lorna (Holly) Meglemre at New Castle, WY. She graduated from Platte Valley Academy at Shelton in 1997.
On July 26, 1998, she was united in marriage to Kevin Snyder at the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Kearney. To this union, three children were born.
She and her family made their home in Gothenburg and were members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Gothenburg.
Snyder worked as a CNA for Golden Living Center in Cozad and part-time at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital Long Term Care.
She loved to spend time with her children, and enjoyed scrapbooking and other arts and crafts, according to family members.
Except for her grandmother Ruth Morriston who live in Washington, Snyder was preceded in death by her other grandparents.
Survivors include: her husband of 11 years, Kevin of Gothenburg; her children—Jacob, Steven and Samantha Snyder; parents, Ralph and Lorna Meglemre of New Castle, WY; brothers—Dale (Lucinda) Meglemre and Clifton (Cydney) Meglemre, all of Oklahoma; a sister, Ruth (Dave) Minzel of New Castle; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Barbara Snyder of Shelton; brother-in-law, Mark (Beth) Snyder of Seward; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family members.
Memorials are suggested to the family for an established college trust at 2700 Lakeview Dr., Lot U, Gothenburg, NE 69138.
