Marilyn Randecker, 73 - February 20, 2008
Marilyn Marie Randecker, 73, of Farnam, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Lewisville, TX.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Randecker was born on Feb. 14, 1934, at Elm Creek, the youngest of six children to Ernest and Wilma (Engel) Lantz.
She graduated from Kearney High School in 1952 and then graduated from nursing college as an registered nurse in 1954.
On July 14, 1957, she was united in marriage to Karl “Jack” Randecker at Lexington. The couple resided in Ventura, CA, where their children were born.
Randecker and her husband moved to Denver, CO, in 1963 and in 1968 moved to Farnam.
She was active in the banking business and worked at the Farnam Bank with her husband until a tragic car accident in 1985.
Randecker was a member of the Methodist Church in Farnam.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ernest and Wilma; an infant daughter, a brother and three sisters.
Survivors include: her husband of 50 years, Jack; a son, Karl (Rebecca) Randecker of Cozad; a daughter, Leslie (Bill) Vezner of Lewisville; five grandchildren—Karl “Derek” (Malissa) Randecker of Omaha, Amanda Randecker (fiance’ Andy Oelkers) of Lincoln, Holden Randecker of Cozad, Bryce Vezner and Andrea Vezner of Lewisville; a great-granddaughter, Jada Randecker of Omaha; sister, Barbara (Orvale) Widick of Farnam; sister-in-law, Virginia Lantz of Kearney; brother-in-law, Wally Petersen of Tuscon, AZ.
Memorials are suggested to the Methodist Church in Farnam.
