Lorraine Warner, 77 - May 21, 2008


Lorraine Margaret Warner, 77, of Gothenburg died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Gothenburg.
Services were held on Wed­nesday at 1:30 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church, 1512 Ave. G, Gothenburg with Lonna Grabenstein, PMA, officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at 3 p.m.
Warner was born Oct. 15, 1930, at Freedom to Knowles and Lillian (Johnson) Bush. She grew up on a family farm northwest of Bartley and attended school at Farnam. She lived at Farnam and Lexington, and graduated from Lexington High School.
On Aug. 27, 1950, she was united in marriage to Ben Warner at Lexington. To this union, five children were born.
She was employed at Evans Bakery, Slacks Nursing Home and at Hilltop Estates.
Warner was a member of the American Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed spending time with family, crocheting and flowers, according to family members.
Warner was preceded in death by: her parents, Knowles and Lillian; a brother, Jerold; sister-in-law, Retha Johnson; grandson, Joshua Dale Warner.
?Survivors include: her husband, Ben of Gothenburg; sons—Lonnie (Sandy) Warner and Brad (Michele) Warner, all of Gothenburg; daughters—Patricia (Duane) Stevens of Sumner, Linda (Eldon) Rodine and Pamela (Michael) Houchin, all of Gothenburg; brother, Marion Johnson of Curtis; sister, Elaine (Bill) Holliday of Lexington; 10 grandchildren—Leigh Ann (Charles) Taylor, Derek Rodine, Kiel (Lacey) Stevens, Kasia Stevens, Adam and Caleb Warner, James (Mia) Houchin, Travis Houchin and Joseph and Raymond Warner; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lutheran Church window fund and diabetes research.
