Rosalie Tederman,77 - November 03, 2017

Rosalie Bode Tederman of Gothenburg passed away in Kearney on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Services were held in Gothenburg on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cletus & Nellie Bode Scholarship at the Gothenburg Education Foundation, the P.E.O. Foundation, or The Crossing Fellowship.
Born Dec. 18, 1939, in Sutherland to Cletus “Clay” and Nellie (Hossack) Bode, Rosalie grew up in Gothenburg. She attended Hastings College and later graduated from Kearney State College. Rosalie worked in the early 1960s as an elementary school teacher and in the 1980s as a Kindergarten teacher’s aide and preschool teacher. Rosalie married Roger Tederman in 1962. Over the years, they lived in Gothenburg, Sargent, Grand Island, and North Platte, returning home to Gothenburg in 1990.
A homemaker during most of her adult life, she enjoyed her children’s activities, gardening, reading, sewing, and quilting. She participated in the Happy Homemakers Extension Club in Sargent, as well as P.E.O. Chapters CW in Sargent and AW in Gothenburg. Previously active at Westcott Baptist Church in Comstock, she and her husband were founding members of The Crossing Fellowship in Gothenburg.
Rosalie was known for her friendly smile, ready laugh, and cheerful conversation. Her home was open to many a hungry teenager while her children were growing up in Sargent. Her friends relied on her kind and listening ear. An active grandma, Rosalie could often be seen at her three grandchildren’s sporting events.
Rosalie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roger; children—Elizabeth (Gary) Roe of Carmel, Ind., and Russell (Jo) Tederman of Lincoln. Also surviving are grandchildren—Vic Roe, Nate Tederman, and Jenna Tederman; and her younger sister and brother, Cleta McCann and Chuck Bode.
Rosalie’s parents preceded her in death.
