Gretchen Joan Furrow, infant - May 06, 2014Gretchen Joan Furrow, infant daughter of Craig and Nichole Furrow of Gothenburg, was born and died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital due to the birth defect Anencephaly.
Services will take place at the American Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be conducted at the Gothenburg Cemetery Babyland at Gothenburg.
Furrow was very active at night and loved her 3 a.m. visits with mom as well as listening to music, hearing the cat purr and listening to Disney Princess stories, according to family members. She also liked to go places with her mom and take naps.
After she was born, she loved hugs and kisses, she was very vocal and ticklish, said family.
She was preceded in death by: her grandfather, Tom Hagan; great-grandmother, Bev Hagan; great-grandfathers—Virgil Furrow and Bob Gruber; great uncle, Ivan Bridges.
Survivors include: her parents, Craig and Nichole Furrow of Gothenburg; her brother, Gabriel Hagan of Gothenburg; grandparents—Spencer and Dona Knauss, Rodney and Pam Gage, Gene and Nellie Furrow and Amber Hagan; great-grandparents—Hazel Furrow, Arlena Nicholson, Judy Gruber and Rodger and Patty Fenstermacher; aunts—Cari (Henry Cook) Furrow, Ashley (Chance Williams) Furrow, Kayla (Shadoe Studnicka) Furrow, Carrick Fenstermacher, Kaycia Hagan, Belle Hagan, Misty Gage and Jessica Gage; an uncle, Clinton Furrow; great aunt and uncles—Pam and Shane Harlin, Mike and Shannon Dickman, Jerome Gage and Bernice Chin, Dave and Joda Schroeder, David and Crista Lee, Kenny and Natalie Furrow, Brett and Charleen Wolf, Andy and Amy Jensen; great aunts—Tina Bridges, Barb Ehrlich and Kathy McMurtry; great uncles—Todd Bridges and Donny (Austin) Furrow; great-great-grandparents, Kenneth and Ruth Gage, Lloyd and Cleao Connell and Violet Bissell; cousin, Ivan Roberts
