After a postponement in December, Gothenburg FFA members were finally able to compete in leadership skills in Curtis on Jan. 6.

Two teams and two individuals won first place.

About 65 members competed on a cold day.

State qualifying groups and individuals for state competition are as follows:

Senior parliamentary procedure team—1. Joanna Blecha, Kristi Block, Tommy France, Kelsey Houchin, Vanessa Linegar, Stephanie Rubenthaler and alternate Tyler Sheets.

Junior parliamentary procedure team—1. Tyler Aden, Patric Jobman, Dillon Linegar, Peyton Maline, Kerry McPheeters, Alix Meisinger and Cale Moore.

Creed speaker—1. Madison Costello.

Senior public speaking—1. Brennan Costello.

Extemporaneous speaking—2. Aaron Block.
