MAKING NUMBERS FUN: Gothenburg High School’s AP calculus class hosted a math night at McDonald’s restaurant the evening of Oct. 8. Earlier in the day, the students gave coupons to Dudley Elementary students to go to the restaurant.
There, they played number games with them such as dud fraction action french fries, circus circumference, how many moves to move the carnival bears and throw a pi at a calculus student. Math teacher Sharise Scherer said there was a great turnout for the event. Calculus students pictured playing games with elementary students are l-r: Rachel Rice, Kayla Trevino, Betsy Potter, Blake Ristine and Abbie Mazour.
