Outdoor ed not deterred by rain at Lafayette Park

NEGLECTED DOG: Dudley Elementary sixth grader Trenton Peterson sheds tears about the rescue of the mixed-breed dog on his shoulder from a puppy mill by A Passion for Paws Rescue, Inc.

The dog, and others, were brought to Outdoor Ed by Paula Slauter of Johnson Lake for a pet rescue session. Students gathered at the Stephanie and Doug Block farm in the morning for sessions and at Lafayette Park in the afternoon. Despite intermittent rain, the event went on as scheduled.
