Five earn all-conference honors
Three Brady girls and two Eagle boys earned post-season recognition from basketball coaches in the Sandhills Conference.
Senior Dakota Terry, junior Valerie Most and sophomore Josie Palmer were voted to the SHC all-conference team by coaches from the seven participating athletic programs.
Other players on the all-conference team and their schools are: Kaitlin Marten and Kelsey Higgins of Sandhills/Thedford, Torie Opela of SMC, Clara Vinton, Madison Tomlinson and Rachel Hoesing of Mullen and Savanna Jamison of Hyannis.
Girls receiving honorable mention were: Taylor Marten of Sandhills/Thedford, Sammantha Riedel of SMC, Jessica Lovitt of Mullen, Tessa Gale of Cody-Kilgore and Taylor Vasa, Charmane Macomber and Kenzie Walker of Arthur County .
For the boys, seniors Zach Mann and Bryley Roper were named to the all-SHC team.
Other boys on the SHC team were Riley Rice and Josh Vinton of Mullen, Austin Starr and Alex Hinkle of SMC and Tyler Lee, Matt McLeod, Cole Taylor and Ty Sierks of Sandhills/Thedford.
Players receiving honorable mention include Gunnar Walker and Austin Helmer of Arthur County, Tye Spies of Mullen, Luke Walz of SMC, Dustin Gourd, McKean Jenkins and Austin Wobig of Cody-Kilgore and Travis Hoover, Gabe Haney and David Safarik of Hyannis.
