Farnam student is UNL Homecoming king
A SCHUR THING: The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Homecoming king’s crown stays in Dawson County. Seniors Ty Schurr of Farnam and Hannah Lambert of Lincoln were crowned king and queen Saturday at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Homecoming celebration.
They were crowned on the field at Memorial Stadium at halftime of the Nebraska-Wisconsin football game. Schurr is an agribusiness major with an emphasis in ag banking and finance. The son of Jerry and Linda Schurr, he is president of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Student Advisory Board. Lambert is a music education major with minors in communication studies and psychology. The daughter of Sam and Kelle Lambert, she is the drum major of the Cornhusker Marching Band. Last year’s king, Skip Hecox of Gothenburg, participated in the ceremony.
