Roof makeover begins

Weathercraft Roofing Co. employees started setting up last Friday for a new roof that will be installed over the school Community Building. Project supervisor Richard Copper said they’ll begin by demolishing the roof and putting on a temporary roof to which they’ll add insulation and fiberglass felt. Copper said he didn’t how long the project would take, depending on what the company finds, but that he hopes it will be done when school starts on Aug. 16. Condensation problems in the roof prompted the repair project that will cost $254,998. Weathercraft is based in North Platte.
