GVFD 100th Year Celebration draws a crowd

Over 750 people were served at family celebration barbecue recognizing the centennial of the Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department.

A large crowd, particularly after the Nebraska football game ended, kept the line fairly long but people were served quickly.

WELL WISHES: Dave Kline (right), who served as president of the Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department for many years carved a plaque in honor of the 100th anniversary of the department. Current president Roben Ostergard accepts of behalf of the department.
