Lady Eagles make history in Omaha

OMAHA—Brady Coach Rich Britten and his staff did a great job coaching this year’s team as the boys improved every meet and the girls ended their season with the Runners-Up Trophy at the 2017 State Championship held at Burke Stadium in Omaha. “We were hoping that it was possible and it was just a matter of whether or not people were able to do what we had hoped. We were real happy about it,” said Coach Britten.

Brady had two gold medalists. Emery Swan defended her 800 meter championship in 2:20.14 and placed fourth in the 400 meter dash, and the 4x400 relay team consisting of Swan, Michaela Jurjens, s with a throw of 117-06 in horrible weather conditions. She also placed second in the shot put with a distance of 39-06. Last year Callahan placed seventh in the discus and fourth in the shot.
