Swedes reign supreme at home

Each week the coaches comment on how hard the boys’ team works during practice. At the Brady/Gothenburg Invite on April 18 the Swedes may have started tasting some of the fruits of their labor as they finished first in team scoring with 130 points. This is an improvement from last year in which they were third with 74.5 points.

Ryan Healey took the gold in the 800 finishing with a time of 2:14. Other gold winners included AJ Whiting, who finished just ahead of teammate Vincent Nichols to take the 110 hurdles. Nichols wouldn’t be denied though as he won the 300 hurdles. A relay team that consisted of Healey, Logan Carlson, Blake Riley and Mason Mendell breezed to victory in the 4x400. Josh Olson won the discus by a foot with a throw of 117-10.
