November is National Adoption Month: Local families share their stories
In 1984, President Reagan proclaimed the first national adoption week, according to the United States Department of Health & Human Services It wasn’t until 1995 that President Clinton expanded the week to include the entire month of November.Several Gothenburg families have been impacted by adoption. Steve and Polly Ackerman have sought international adoption through a six-year process, while Steve and Georgi Reeves chose domestic adoption.
