Dawson County 4-H’ers will be headed tour heritage sites on the East Coast and other locations.

The Dawson County Extension Board and Dawson County 4-H Council have unanimously approved another Dawson County 4-H Heritage Tour in the summer of 2011, according to Andrea Nisley, Dawson County Extension educator.

The 4-H Heritage Tour participants will visit national scenic and historic sites and see the nation’s government in action at Washington, D.C. Sites will include: Niagara Falls, Sturbridge Village, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, Amish farms, Mt. Vernon, Washington, D.C., Kentucky horse farms and much more.

The chartered bus trip will be May 29 to June 12, 2011. Four-H’ers must be 15 years of age as of May 29, 2011, have been in Dawson County 4-H club work in 2008, 2009, 2010 and enrolled in 2011; or be an alumni resulting from age or college requirements.

Application forms, which are available at the Dawson County Extension Office, along with payment will be taken between Feb. 15 and April 15, 2010, for the tour in 2011.
