Rose Doudney, 52 - November 17, 2012

Rose “Rosie” A. Doudney, 52, of Cozad passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Cozad Community Hospital.
A memorial service was conducted on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Elder Thomas Bond officiating. Inurnment was at the Cozad Cemetery.
Doudney was born July 4, 1960, at Denver, CO, to Donald and Connie (Carter) Doudney. She graduated with the Cozad High School Class of 1978.
Following high school, she married Larry Seacrest and resided at Cozad. She later married Keith Pflaster at Cozad.
She would eventually move to Colorado where she was employed at Denver Plastics. It was during her time in Colorado that she was diagnosed with cancer. She won the hard fought battle against cancer, but her health would never be the same, forcing her to end her working career, according to family members.
Doudney moved back to Cozad to be close to family, residing at Haymaker Haven for numerous years.
Despite the adversity that always seemed present in her life, she lived with passion and without regrets, the family said. She was very kind and giving, never hesitating to offer what she had for the benefit of a friend, and loved spending time with her family, friends and her beloved cats.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Cozad.
Doudney was preceded in death by: her parents, Donald and Connie; brother-in-law, Lorand; two uncles—Neal and Paul Carter.
Survivors include: her three sisters—Deb Doudney of Sherman, TX, Pam Welch of Cozad and Ada Doudney of Lexington; two brothers—Chuck (Cheryl) Doudney of Cozad and Bob (Lisa) Doudney of Gothenburg; 12 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established.
