Bernice M. Bebee, 85 - November 11, 2012Bernice M. Bebee, 85, of Cozad passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Golden Living Care Center in Cozad.
Services will take place on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with the Rev. Duane Bebee, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery.
A visitation will be conducted on Friday, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
Bebee was born April 10, 1927, at Sparta, WI, to Hayward and Lizzie (Williams) Garvis. She attended rural school at Sparta.
On April 15, 1945, she married Henry “Mike” Bebee at Sparta. To this union, five sons were born. The couple resided in Wisconsin until 1952, when they moved to Cozad.
While residing at Cozad she was employed at Evans Bakery, the Cozad Hospital, Walker’s Motel and eventually Monroe Auto, where she retired after nearly 15 years.
Bebee and her husband traveled regularly during their retirement, often spending winters in Arizona.
She enjoyed spending time with family as well as crossword puzzles and playing Bingo, according to family members.
?Bebee was preceded in death by: her husband, Mike, in 2009; parents, Hayward and Lizzie; two brothers—Sam and Stanley.
?Survivors include: her five sons—Don Bebee and Duane (Lori) Bebee, Sr., all of Grand Island, David (Karen) Bebee of Union City, CA, Doug (Patricia) Bebee of Liberty, MO, and Michael (Debbie) Bebee of Glendale, AZ; 10 grandchildren—Jason, Kim, Stacie, Adam, Melissa, Duane, Jr., Christie, Nikki, Andrea and Jesse; 12 great-grandchildren—Noah, Adriana, Amaia, Brayden, Tyler, Hannah, Logan, Dillon, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Daniel and Trey; numerous other relatives.
Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Home Health & Hospice.
