Doris Earll, 89 - May 13, 2009
Doris A. Werner Earll, 89, of Cozad, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at the Cozad Community Hospital.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the Berryman Funeral Home at Cozad with the Rev. Ron Kuszak officiating. Burial took place at the Cozad Cemetery.
Earll was born on May 21, 1919, at Shickley, to Johannes and Anna Marie (Hasch) Loshonkohl. She attended school at Shickley and at Lincoln.
On May 21, 1937, she married Oscar Kidd at Lincoln. The couple made their home at Lincoln until the death of her husband in 1940.
She was united in marriage to Jessie Werner on Aug. 15, 1940, at Minden. The couple resided at Minden and Norman before moving to Cozad. Her second husband preceded her in death in 1968.
Earll was employed as a cook at the Red Rooster Café, and later at Monroe Auto Equipment Company.
On June 20, 1987, she married Norman Earll at Reno, NV. The couple lived at Cozad their entire married life. Mr. Earll passed away in 1995.
She was a member of the Church of God at Cozad and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Earll enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren, according to family members. She also enjoyed various handcrafts, playing cards with her friends and solving word puzzles.
?She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Oscar Kidd; second husband, Jessie Werner; third husband, Norman Earll; a son, Terry Werner; a sister; eight brothers; a son-in-law, Gene; a granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
Survivors include: her son, Larry (Janice) Werner of Cozad; five daughters—Ramona (Dick) Martin of Redmond, OR, Joyce (Leo) Sabin and Marsha (Terry) Weeks, all of Gothenburg, Norma (Bob) Richards and Mary Buesing, all of Cozad; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives.
Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Home Health & Hospice and the American Heart Association.
