Donald Nalley, 47 - March 08, 2012
Donald “Donnie” Nalley, 47, of Bowman, ND, formerly of Gothenburg, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Medcenter One Hospital in Bismarck, ND.
A visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, March 12, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Larry Viter officiating.
Nalley was born Nov. 3, 1964, at St. Joseph, MO, to William E., Sr. and Shirley Ann (James) Nalley.
His family moved to North Platte where he attended elementary and junior high schools. He then graduated from Maxwell High School, where he participated in football, wrestling, track and baseball.
Following high school, he was employed with various construction jobs throughout the state.
In 1991, he moved to Florida where he met his wife, Jeannie. The couple were married on June 7, 1998. To this union, a son was born.
In 2009, he moved his family to Bowman, ND, where he was working on power lines.
Nalley always had a smile on his face and he loved to spend time with his son playing football or any outdoor activity, family members said. He also enjoyed listening to Hank Williams, Jr., and Johnny Cash as well as Van Halen.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents; his mother, Shirley; step-father, Robert Buesing; brother, Richard Nalley.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeannie; his son Austin; his father, William E. Nalley, Sr. and stepmother, Ruth; a sister, Patricia Ann (Frank) Roberts; three brothers—William E. (Karen) Nalley, Jr., Barry Eugene (Linda) Nalley and Raymond Lee Nalley; two step-sisters—Tammy Ueligger and Hope Green; two step-brothers—David (Tammy) Buesing and Kevin Haney; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the family for a college fund for Austin, 108 SW 11th Ave., Lot 29, Bowman, ND 58623.
