Alvina Aden, 97 - June 03, 2009
Services were held on Thursday, May 28, at the American Lutheran Church of Gothenburg with the Rev. Matthew Groenke and Lonna Grabenstein, PMA, officiating. Burial took place at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Aden was born Feb. 18, 1912, to Fred and Alma (Stevens) Franzen at Gothenburg.
On Jan. 10, 1932, she was united in marriage to Victor Aden at the Zion Lutheran Church of Gothenburg.
She and her husband made their home on a family farm north of Gothenburg. They resided at the farm until 1965 when they moved to Gothenburg.
Aden was a member of the American Lutheran Church and served on various committees for ALCW. She enjoyed playing the game of bridge, according to family members.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Victor E. Aden; daughter, Joleen Carolyn Lauer; a sister, Mable Kuhlman.
?Survivors include: her son, Romaine (Joan) Aden of Gothenburg; son-in-law, Roland (Norma) Lauer of Gothenburg; granddaughters—Debra (David) Hackbart of Maple Grove, MN, Cynthia Lauer of New Hope, PA, and Carolyn (Don) Schuster of Rogers, MN; grandsons—Shane (Sherri) Aden, Tim (Tracy) Lauer and Matt (Laura) Lauer, all of Gothenburg; sister, Sena (Virgil) Aden of Gothenburg; sisters-in-law—Lena Aden and Katherine Aden, both of Gothenburg; 17 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lutheran Church of Gothenburg.
