Mary Bodfield, 52 - July 01, 2009
Mary Lucille Bodfield, 52, of Beaver City, formerly of Gothenburg, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at her home.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg with the Rev. Rick Remhert officiating.
Bodfield was born July 15, 1956, to Edwin Imler and Anita (Welch) Stickelman at Gothenburg. She grew up at Gothenburg as well as Brady, where she attended school.
On March 26, 1971, she married Larry Bodfield at Cheyenne, WY. To this union, four children were born. The couple resided at Beaver City.
She enjoyed time with her family, friends and grandchildren as well as quilting, playing Yahtzee, boating and fishing, along with numerous hobbies, according to family members.
Bodfield was preceded in death by: her father, Edwin T. Imler; an uncle, Walter Cyrus Imler; father-in-law, Richard “Dick” Bodfield; brother-in-law, Richard “Butch” Bodfield; mother-in-law, Gerry Moore.
Survivors include: her husband of 38 years, Larry; her children—Rebecca (Terry) Scott of North Platte, Angie (Rodney) Mason of Gothenburg, Mike (Krista) Bodfield of Cozad, and Michelle Putzier of Grand Island; brothers—Walter (Lorraine) Imler of Hershey and Ira (Rose) Imler of Cortez, CO; sisters—Alice (Mitch) Golter and Rhonda Imler, all of Gothenburg; grandchildren—Joseph Lemburg, Josiah Scott, Jacob Scott, Alexander Scott, Terrill Scott, Jr., Amber Scott, Austin Douglas, Issac Bodfield, Trevor Bodfield, Amanda Scott, Casie Mason, Kristina Mason, Keisha Glendening, Jaylynn Bodfield, Sydney Putzier and Preszly Putzier; her mother, Anita Stickelman of Gothenburg; grandmother, Lucille Damerell of Salem, OR; father-in-law, Fred Moore of Gothenburg; sister-in-law, Jackie Bodfield of Gothenburg; brother-in-law, Joe (Mandy) Moore of Gothenburg; numerous nieces and nephews.
