David Pedersen, Jr., 18 - October 28, 2009
David “DJ/Davey” Lee Pedersen, Jr., 18, of Brady died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, near Maxwell.
Services will be held Wednesday (today) at 10 a.m. at the Brady High School with the Rev. Ron Lauber officiating. Burial will take place following the service at the Moorefield Cemetery.
Pedersen was born Feb. 13, 1991, to David Lee and Peggy Brown Pedersen, Sr., at Omaha. He attended school in Brady and graduated from Brady High School in 2009.
He was currently a freshman attending the University of Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, studying agribusiness.
Pedersen was a true cowboy, according to family members. He enjoyed racing, bull riding, football and roping, and he loved his Ford pickup. He was always kind, had a smile on his face and a positive attitude that affected everyone around him.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents—Vern and Lorraine Brown, and Ken and Ruth Pedersen; an aunt, Ann Hansen.
Survivors include: his parents, Peggy (Dan) Janecek of Keystone, SD, and David (Stacy) Pedersen, Sr. of Brady; a sister, Crystal Pedersen of Brady; two brothers—Dylan Thomas of Keystone and Brody Sullivan Bock of Brady; aunts and uncles—Brenda (Jim) Clair and Troy (Doreen) Pedersen, all of Maxwell, and Troy Bock of North Platte; special cousins—Tiffany (Dale) J. Wiezorek and Becky Menning, all of North Platte, Heather (Jake) Cox of Sutherland, Tim Hansen of Hill City, SD, and Matthew Helms of Maxwell; grandparents—Bob and Linda Bock of Kearney and Winnie Janecek of North Platte; numerous other family members and friends.
A memorial has been established.
