Phillip Miller, 76 - April 09, 2008


Phillip E. Miller, 76, of Denver, CO, formerly of Gothenburg, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Rowan Community Nursing Home in Denver.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church of Cozad with the Rev. Terry Pool officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery.
Miller was born April 26, 1931, at Gothenburg to Frank and Rose (Block) Miller. He attended school at Gothenburg.
Following his high school graduation, he entered the U.S. Marine Corp. After his discharge, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned a degree in physics.
He had lived in several locations until moving to Temple, TX, where he was employed with Texas Instruments as a technical writer. He remained in Texas after his retirement in the late 1980’s until his move to Kearney in the fall of 1998.
?In August of 2007, he moved to Denver’s Rowan Nursing Home to be closer to his sons.
?Miller enjoyed spending time with his family as well as watching and recording news broadcasts, according to family members.
?He was preceded in death by: his parents, Frank and Rose; brother, Richard; sister, Adelle Griffis.
?Survivors include: his three sons—Phillip Miller, II of Longmont, CO, Richard “Scott” (Tricia) Miller of Denver, and David (Lisa) Miller of Boulder; a brother, Dean (Dee) Miller of Cozad; two sisters—Jane (Carl) Rohman of Lincoln and Judy (Paul) Norblade of Kearney; a grandson, Roman; sister-in-law, Judy Miller of Cozad; numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Home Health & Hospice.
