Rosalie Anderson, 94 - April 09, 2008
Rosalie Barbara (Teas) Anderson, 94, of Lincoln, formerly of Gothenburg, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Tabitha Health Care Services.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 5, at The Landing at Williamsburg Village in Lincoln with the Rev. Renae Johnson officiating.
Family graveside services were to be held at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Anderson was born on June 26, 1913, at Chariton, IA, to Fred and Bess Teas. She was a graduate of Fremont High School and Midland Lutheran College with a degree in education.
She was united in marriage to Howard Anderson. The couple lived most of their adult life in Gothenburg where she was a member of the Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the Community Playhouse.
In retirement, she and her husband spent winters in Arizona where she discovered her talents of singing and writing barbershop music, learning computer, drawing and painting, according to family members. She continued to sew, knit and complete many needlework projects as well as managing the family farm.
Anderson spent the last 20 years of her life residing in Lincoln where she was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church for the past five years. She lived at The Landing where her days were enjoyed with family, friendships, music and computer work, said family members.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Howard; a daughter, Marlys; brother, Wesley; sister, Murial; great-grandson, Andrew.
Survivors include: her daughters—Karen (David) Anderson of Austin, TX, and Cathy (Mike) Rasmussen of Lincoln; her son, Kim (Beverly) Anderson of Stanton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
