John Brady, 76 - September 17, 2008
John “Gilbert” Brady, 76, of Littleton, CO, died at a hospital in Littleton on Aug. 11, 2008. He was an eight-year stroke survivor.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, south of Maxwell with the Rev. Randall Dilts of the Gothenburg United Methodist Church officiating, with three U.S. Air Force honor attendants.
Following the Fort McPherson service, a luncheon for friends and family will be served by the United Methodist women at the First United Methodist Church in Gothenburg.
Brady was preceded in death by: his father, Keith L. Brady; his stepmother, Ina Craig Brady; a step-brother, Lester Craig; his son, Randy L. Brady; a great-granddaughter, Grace Clay; his stepfather, Lester Morris; paternal uncle, Harlan (Dorothy) Seals Brady; maternal aunts—Edith and Alan Findlay and Irene Jacobson Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Maddox Brady of Littleton; a son, Carey L. Brady of Littleton; a daughter, Andrea Brady (Bruce) Kirchhoff of Highlands Ranch, CO; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Reiter Brady of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren—Joshua and Jeremy Brady of the U.S. Army, Kara Brady (Matthew) Clay of Killeen, TX, Sarah, Mary and Joseph Brady of Littleton, Andrew “Drew” and Tyler Kirchhoff of Highlands Ranch; great-grandson, Isaac Clay of Killeen; his mother, Erma Jensen Morris of Brighton; sisters—Nadine Brady (Wesley) Adle of Brighton and Nola Jean Engleman (Timothy) Gibson of Fort Collins; step-brother, Ralph (Doris Larson) Craig of Maxwell; maternal uncle, Russell (LeVone Campbell) Jensen of Anacortes, WA; maternal aunt, Faye Jensen (Thor) Kommedahl of St. Paul, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
