Doris Wareham, 98 - September 18, 2009

Doris Elizabeth Wareham, 98, of Gothenburg died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at Hilltop Estates at Gothenburg.
Services were held Friday, Sept. 18, at the Banner United Methodist Church of Gothenburg with the Rev. Randall L. Dilts officiating. Burial took place at the Elwood Cemetery.
Wareham was born Oct. 17, 1910, at Elwood to Fred and Minnie (Reynolds) Rhinehart.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Chambers. To this union, a son was born. Her husband passed away in February of 1945.
In 1947, she married Harvey Clyde Wareham. A daughter was born to this union on Dec. 17, 1947, and she passed away from a car accident in 1995 at the age of 25. Her second husband passed way in 1995.
Wareham was a member of the Banner Methodist Church for over 50 years. She also helped with the Bloodmobile for over 50 years, and volunteered at the Senior Center as well.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Gerald Chambers; her second husband, Clyde Wareham; a daughter, Linda Lea Wareham; three brothers—Homer, Donald and Kenneth; sister, Ruby; and five great-grandchildren—Mary Ann, Micah Lee, Jordan, Michael, and Ashley.
Survivors include: her son, Allyn (Connie) Chambers of Ogallala; a brother, Freddie of Elwood; four grandsons—James (Shanda) Chambers of Independence, KS, Jeffery (Kathy) Chambers of North Mankato, MN, Todd Chambers of North Platte, and Mark (Wendy) Chambers of Evans, CO; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Banner Methodist Church and the Gothenburg Senior Center.
