Things don’t slow down for FFA
Gothenburg’s FFA Chapter was busy as summer vacation began.
Members helped put up flags and stakes up in the Gothenburg Cemetery for Memorial Day to honor veterans. Later in the week the 2014-15 FFA officer team went to the Aurora Leadership Center to participate in COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training), a program designed to give officers the opportunity to discover their roles as leaders, to begin working as a team and to meet with their advisors to develop their chapter’s program of activities for the upcoming year.
Students from all over Nebraska participated in this program to learn more about each other as individuals and to come together and work as a team.“My favorite part was getting the chance to network with other chapter,” said Amanda Kowalewski.
The conference was a great way for the new officer team to get to know each other, learn each others strengths and weaknesses, and commit to working together a team.
