SCREEN REPLACEMENT: Sun Theatre moviegoers will experience a clearer, brighter image on the big screen at the Sun Theatre.
A new screen, that cost about $7,000, was installed Friday by Sonic Equipment Company of Iola, KS. Installation technician Dennis Kress said the screen, made of PVC plastic, will make movies clearer because of more modern procedures and products used in the manufacturing process. Pictured are Kress (left) and installer Jack Benham. “Comfort Counts,” a campaign to raise money for new theatre seats and carpet and floor refinishing, kicked off this week. See the story on page 1A.
