Junior-senior prom Saturday
Public promenade planned before dance
A new event will be part of Gothenburg High School’s junior-senior prom this Saturday in the Dudley Elementary gymnasium.
At 8:30 p.m., the public can attend a promenade where prom couples will stroll across the performing arts center stage and their names be announced.
“It’s a new thing we are trying this year and we hope to see a lot of people there,” said prom sponsor Kris Epke.
To get ready for this year’s prom, the junior class will decorate the Dudley gym Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 6-9 p.m. each night. The theme is “Mysterioso.”
Saturday festivities begin with punch parties, from 5-6 p.m., at these homes:
Juniors will gather at the home of Roger and Carol Wahlgren at 2611 Ave. M.
Seniors will meet at the home of Jim and Judy Haver at 2118 Ave. M.
Group pictures for seniors will be at 5:15 p.m. and at 5:45 p.m. for juniors.
