Educational experience: Gothenburg High School juniors, who are taking American government class, and eighth-grade students got to watch the movie “Lincoln” Thursday morning at the Sun Theatre to help in their study of the Civil War era. Gothenburg Community Playhouse board members and the Sun Theatre managers not only hosted the morning movie for students but opened the concession stand. On Jan. 14, students from Mary Clark’s English class watched “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” at the theatre.
