Back-to-school celebration

PERFECT PARTNERSHIP: The hallways of Gothenburg High School and Dudley Elementary were crowded with businesses, students and parents Monday night the evening before school started Tuesday. RIGHT: Twenty-three businesses and organizations set up tables in the Main Street area of the high school while District 20 school board members served hot dogs in the cafeteria. Parents and students also viewed classrooms. Superintendent Mike Teahon described the evening as demonstrating the partnership between the school and community. LEFT: Madison Beachel runs in a sponge ball race organized by the cross-country team on the practice football field. Other student groups also sponsored games for children.
