Eagle band takes top honors at Sandhills Conf. music contest

Practice made perfect for the Brady High School band at the Sandhills Conference art and music contest March 30 at Hyannis.

Brady walked away with the SHC overall instrumental championship award and the best large ensemble (concert band) award.

Kyle Pohlman received a I for his snare drum solo and won the best percussion solo medal.

 

“We had a great day,” vocal and instrumental music teacher Valerie Pohlman said.

 

Other individual awards included: Micah Most, trumpet solo, I; Brodie Sullivan-Bock, trumpet solo, II; Shelby Widick, clarinet solo, II; Marc Kramer-Davis, tenor sax solo, II; Matt Litzenberger, snare drum solo, I; Zach Mann, snare drum solo, I; Tyrel Grasz, snare drum solo, I; Taina Taullie, vocal solo, I; Kristen Boden, vocal solo, I; Micah Most and Taina Taullie, trumpet duet, I; Grades 11-12 Chorus, II.
