Intersection collision results in rolled vehicle

A two vehicle accident last week at the intersection of 17th Street and Ave. H resulted in a rollover, but no injuries.

On Thursday, Aug. 3, at 1:40 p.m., Gothenburg Rescue and the Gothenburg Police Department were called to the scene of a reported accident with injury. Katie Mohler, 22 of Gothenburg, was southbound on Ave. H, in a 2007 Pontiac Torrent. As Mohler came through the intersection at 17th Street, the vehicle collided with a 2005 Dodge Neon, driven by 25-year-old Timari Devine of Gothenburg. Devine was eastbound on 17th Street at the time of the accident.

The collision caused the Torrent to roll once, coming to rest on its top facing south on Ave. H. Neither driver, nor the young passenger in the Mohler vehicle, were injured and no transports were made by Gothenburg rescue who was on scene. All parties were properly restrained at the time of the accident.

The Pontiac owned by Mohler was declared a total loss, while Devine’s Neon suffered an estimated $3,500 in damages.
